Medieval Europe lasted from about 476 AD. to about 1500 AD. Once Western Rome collapsed this western portion of Europe's history has also been known as the Dark Ages. Questions we should be asking ourselves are..."What do they mean by the 'Dark Ages'? Was this really a dark age? Was the impact in the 'West' the same as it was in the 'East', and if the answer is no, why were they impacted differently? Was all of Europe considered a 'Dark Age'?"
